Pennsylvania 2026–27 Budget Resources
Governor Shapiro’s proposed FY 2026–27 education budget continues progress toward addressing Pennsylvania’s unconstitutional and highly inequitable school funding system by adding $565 million in adequacy funding through the Ready to Learn Block Grant and increasing support for Career and Technical Education. Yet, despite these investments, most core education funding lines remain largely flat, with only modest increases for Basic Education and Special Education, while several programs are cut or eliminated, showing that the state is still far from closing the full adequacy gap.
